of categorization.
Figure 14-7 shows how a display of most-significant product categories in
the neighborhood of Tufte's book can be used to form a word cloud
reflecting topic interest. The somewhat surprising categorization under
business management is validated here because interest in those products
is strong. However, one of the revelations here is that although there is
some representation of statistics in the categorization of the topic, it is not
cataloged in the dominant categories of that nature, suggesting a missed
sales opportunity.
Using node-link representations of products and customer interests, this
example has shown how graph databases and queries are used to extract
valuable, focused business insights from Big Data. The next section
examines methods for analyzing all of the data and the situations in which
that has value.
