Google Analytics provides dashboard visualization of visitor
flow through a website using an interactive Sankey diagram.
Google Analytics is currently free to use for anyone with a modestly sized
website. After a simple setup process, Google Analytics requires only the
addition ofafewstandardlinesofJavaScript toeachwebpagetotrackvisits
through the site.

to analyze traffic through your website.
One of the interactive features that the Google Analytics visualization
includes is the capability to highlight the subset of flow through a particular
node, which is one of the more generally useful techniques for any Sankey
diagram. For example, as shown in
Figure 12-3
, clicking on Germany shows
lines of flow from that country in a darker blue, while fading the other links.
