Tip
When choosing shapes for visualization, use intuitive symbols to make
them easier to interpret.
Shapes are best if they are symbolic. If the information represented can be
recognized in the form of the shape, it will be easier to interpret. For this
data set, an intuitive symbol for players might be their initials or jersey
number, and for Drake, something musical. Use the top row added earlier to
insert a symbol above each player mention column. You can use the Symbol
button on the Insert ribbon in Excel to insert font characters not found on
your keyboard, like the musical note shown in
Figure 11-15
.
