As edge weight becomes thicker, transparency of the edges can help;
otherwise, all the edges can become a big blob.
Edge Color
Edge color can show data attributes in a very similar way to node color.
All the guidelines discussed previously regarding color and the different
types of color scales (sequence, diverging, categoric) apply to edge color as
well. Again using the e-mail example, in Figure 5-21 , edge color is added
to indicate the recency of the e-mails between each pair of people, ranging
from red (recent) to blue (old).
