Figure 10.4 The same process is shown for the southern half of Britain. Here
the distorting impression given by the original map is clear. The true red, blue
and green polarisation becomes apparent. The division of the southern half of
the country into green and blue areas, stretched around red and purple places,
becomes obvious, while a bright slice of yellow still remains on the Celtic fringe.
Note that these images were taken as seven screen shots from images designed to
be seen on one of the very first colour graphics computer monitors made for a
home computer.
