Figure 3.14 The 64 counties are shaded so that no areas with the same colour
are contiguous. This map can be used as a key to the next enumeration district
cartogram shown in this topic, where the very small areas are each coloured
the same shade as their respective counties. In Scotland these areas were called
'regions' in the 1980s, the old counties having become defunct.
