Southbank, offering everything from current and pulp

- most of it reasonably priced, although rarely a complete

FOOD AND DRINK
As you'd expect of a city that has some of the best restaurants in the world, London offers great shopping for the most
discerning of food buffs. In the centre of town, Soho and Covent Garden , in particular, are a gourmand's delight: the
former is particularly good for Chinese supermarkets and Italian delicatessens. Marks & Spencer is excellent for fresh
foods and quality ready-meals, as are the major department-store food halls (see box, p.426), while specialist stores
