Summary
In this chapter, we introduced and explained the need for the saga pattern. We discussed
how saga handles nonfunctional requirements that are commonly overlooked. We also dis-
cussed the fallacies of distributed computing. We briefly discussed the need for NSer-
viceBus, its installation, and how it helps to improve the quality of software while it
provides support for nonfunctional requirements.
In the next chapter, we will discuss a particular service platform that includes ServicePulse,
ServiceControl, ServiceInsight, and ServiceMatrix.
