Virtual machines
Microsoft Azure gives customers complete control of virtual machines to run in the cloud.
There are many base VMware operating systems that can be created in the cloud.
We could easily create a virtual machine for Windows Server 2012, and utilize many of the
features that we would use locally in creating an application. The difference would be that
the licensing and administration would be based on cloud-based tools and wizards.
Utilizing virtual machines off-premise is very much like having one on-premise, except
that you are paying for someone else to maintain it off-site. Therefore, if MSMQ and SQL
Server are configured on the virtual machine, they could be used in a way similar to on-site
NSB examples.
