There are other DIN plug formats.

DIN plugs with 2 pins are usually a loudspeaker connections. Don't connect them
to a line input.

Some 5-pin DIN connectors carry balanced or unbalanced audio, especially on
older consumer audio equipment made for the European market.
●
Sometimes you will find a 7-pin DN connector on a piece of equipment.
