Levels and Macroblocks
The MPEG-4 specification does not dictate frame sizes in pixels. Because the video can be
arbitrarily shaped, the limit is defined in terms of 16-
16-pixel macroblocks, which can be
presented in non-rectangular arrangements. Table G-5 summarizes these values for some
profiles and levels.
