SoundTracks A more sophisticated audio loop and backing-track compilation tool

Logic Express A cut-down version of the professional editing tool. This is now at

version 7.

Logic Pro The version 7 release of Logic adds many useful features for the

professional musician and sound designer. As is the case with
Compressor and Shake, the Logic application is able to distribute
work to other idle processors on your network using the OpenTalk
technology.

BIAS Sound Soap An all-in-one noise-reduction tool. It is available as a VST plug-in,

an audio unit, or as a stand-alone application.

The analyzers can usually cope with a variety of formats, and the more modern
products also support H.264, which you should look for as a supported codec if you are
buying a new analyzer. That way you will future-proof your investment as much as
possible.
