To join a remote report server named instance to a scale-out deployment run the
following statement:
rskeymgmt -j -m <remotecomputer> -n <namedreportserverinstance> -u
<administratoraccount> -v <administratorpassword>
5. At this point, join the second report server instance to the scale-out deployment.
6. Open RSC tool, and reconnect to the first report server instance. By now, the first
report server is already initialized for reversible encryption operations. It can be used
to join additional report server instances to the scale-out deployment.
7. Click Scale-out deployment to open the page that will present two entries, one for
each report server instance that is connected to the report server database.
8. The first report server should be joined; the second report server should display the
status of waiting to join.
9. On the Scale-out deployment page, select the report server instance that is waiting
to join the deployment and click the Add Server button.
10. You should now be able to verify that both report server instances are operational.
11. These steps must be repeated based on the number of report servers that you want
to include, which completes steps to perform scale-out deployment.
