27. Select the Database server where the SharePoint configuration database should
be placed.
28. Use the same database that is used by SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 R2. This
database is created when the SSRS installation is completed (refer to step 17).
29. Specify the windows account credentials for WSS to connect to the database. In this
case, it is recommended that the account be registered as a domain account.
30. Now, create a web application and site collection through the SharePoint Central
Administration application. From the Application Management table, click to Create
or Extend Web Application link to create a new web application.
31. Choose the Use an Existing IIS Web Site option to use the default website. Now
create a New Application pool and select Network Service account as the security
user for the application.
32. Create a Site Collection link on the Application create page and set a name.
33. It is essential to choose a windows domain account as the primary site
collection administrator.
34. A new site collection is created with a top-level site— http://DBIASSQA .
However, we can create a new subsite under the main site by the name reports
as http://dbiassqa/Reports .
Now, we are at the point where we can configure Reporting Services 2008 R2 in
SharePoint 2010 integrated mode and configure the Report Server database.
35. Open Reporting Services Configuration Manager and connect with Reporting Services
instance. Make sure that Report Service status is 'Started'. Notice that Report Server
Mode is Native.
36. Open the Report Service Database section by clicking the Database navigational
tab button. Click on Change Database button to launch Report Server Database
Configuration Wizard.
