DETOUR: THE EVERGLADES
If you've traveled as far south as Naples, you really owe it to yourself to visit the Ever-
glades. Heading west on the Tamiami Trail/Hwy 41, you can be in Everglades City in half
an hour, Big Cypress in 45 minutes and Shark Valley in 75 minutes.

Sleeping
Naples specializes in top-end lodgings, but an economical sleep can be had. Visit outside
February to mid-April and you'll find prices drop dramatically, often by half.
