; 5251 Ocean Blvd, Siesta Key; items $5.50-13;
7:30am-10pm Mon-Sat, 8:30am-5pm Sun)
Look no further than this retro coffee lounge for laid-back lounging over your early-morn-
ing espresso or Island Coconut Mocha. Surfboards dangle from the ceiling; comfortable
sofas beckon; and there's a short menu of fruit smoothies, 'samiches' and smashed omelets
stuffed with produce from the farmers market. Come nightfall there's a martini bar, open
mic and jazz events.
Siesta Key Farmers Market
MARKET
(

; Davidson's Plaza, Ocean Blvd; 9am-2pm Sun)
Focusing on locally grown produce, the Siesta Key Farmers Market is a great place to pick
up groceries.
Dry Dock
SEAFOOD
( 941-383-0102;
drydockwaterfrontgrill.com
;
412 Gulf of Mexico Dr, Longboat Key; mains $7-19;
11am-9pm Mon-Sat, 4:30-9pm Sun)
With a deck overhanging the water and panoramic views from its upstairs dining room im-
peded only by shady palm fronds, it's hard to beat Dry Dock for waterside dining. Match
that with excellent blackened grouper sandwiches, a half-pound chargrilled burger and
Caribbean shrimp tacos and you'll see why the wait time is usually around 40 minutes.
Don't stress; just grab a beer, take a seat in one of the Adirondack chairs and watch the pel-
icans on the pilings.

ITALIAN
( 941-349-9822;

; 5253 Ocean Blvd, Siesta Key; mains $15-23; 3pm-1am)
At the end of Siesta Village, Blasé combines the artful vibe of an urban wine bar with a
seaside casual bistro. The menu of pastas and mains is fine, but taste much better with a
dry martini or generous pour of Cabernet.
