In-Depth Information
Tickets
At Disney and Universal, per-day theme-park admission costs plummet the more days you
buy; go to park websites for details on current specials, accommodation packages and din-
ing plans that can save loads.
You do not need admission to enter the resort complexes themselves. Admission tickets
are only required to get into the theme and water parks, and there are all kinds of entertain-
ment and activities beyond theme-park gates (especially at WDW).
Prices are without tax, children aged three to nine cost about $10 less, and kids under
three are free. Multiday tickets are good anytime within 14 days of the first visit, and ex-
pire 14 days after first use.
Walt Disney World
Base tickets, called Magic Your Way in Disney jargon, range from one to 10 days ($94 to
$354) and allow unlimited entry to any one of Disney's four parks per day. To this, you can
add one-time purchase options:
Park Hopper ($49-60) Allows you to 'hop' between all four WDW parks within one day and
for the length of your base ticket.
Water Park Fun & More ($60) For each day of base ticket, this gives one pass to your
choice of Disney's two water parks, two miniature-golf courses, the 9-hole walking golf
course, DisneyQuest or ESPN Wide World of Sports, to be used any time and in any com-
bination. For example, if you have a five-day ticket and have purchased this option, you can
go to a water park and miniature golf one day and a water park the second day, and you
will have used three of your five designated passes. Counterintuitively, the price is the
same whether you add it to a two-day or a 10-day ticket.
Park Hopper and Water Park Fun & More ($86) Save money by combining the above two
options.
