Jacksonville suffers a serious dearth of interesting private hotels but there's a plethora of
chain options dotted throughout the city and around highway interchanges: the cheapest
rooms are along I-95 and I-10. It's nicer to stay by the beaches where there's camping,
swanky resorts, and well-priced beachfront chains.
