The oldest city's newest secret, no longer! Flavored with the spices of Mexico and the
Southwest this cozy, unpretentious joint is favored by locals for its cheap and tasty tacos,
burgers and comfort foods. We couldn't go past the chili mac bowl. There's a good selec-
tion of cold beer, too!
Bunnery Bakery & Café
BAKERY
$4-12; 8am-4pm Mon-Fri, to 5pm Sat & Sun)
The friendly staff at this family-owned bakery pour frosting on your cinnamon rolls to
your individual specifications. Strudels, panini and fat, wedge-shaped scones are all hits,
as are the noteworthy hot breakfasts. Expect major lines at noon, although it's always busy.
Present Moment Café
VEGAN

Dishing up 'Kind Cuisine,' this folksy restaurant serves only vegan and raw food. To the
delight (and surprise) of many patrons, the healthy, organic dishes created by this soulful
cafe are bursting with flavor. If you need something a little bit naughty with your nice,
why not have the gluten-free chocolate marble torte with drunken banana for dessert? One
to turn even the most die-hard carnivores on to food that's good for the soul and the planet.
Gas Full Service
MODERN AMERICAN
Its increasing popularity as a lunch spot means you'll likely be vying for a table at this
fantastic retro gas-station-esque cafe. The buzz is about the burgers: freshly baked buns,
local beef, fried green tomatoes and crispy bacon all feature. How about the 'burger Bene-
dict,' smothered in hollandaise? And did we mention waffle fries, Reuben egg rolls or the
lobster corn dog…?
