stead. For everyone else, the views of the Atlantic Ocean from the top of the 53m struc-

south of Daytona Beach.
Daytona International Speedway RACETRACK
( GOOGLE MAP ; 800-748-7467; www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com ; 1801 W International
Speedway Blvd; tickets from $20)
The Holy Grail of raceways has a diverse race schedule. Ticket prices skyrocket for good
seats at big races, headlined by the Daytona 500 in February. It's worth wandering the
massive stands for free on non-race days. First-come, first-served tram tours take in the
track, pits and behind-the-scenes areas.
The 30-minute Speedway Tour (adult/child $16/10; 11:30am, 1:30pm, 3:30pm & 4pm)
covers the basics. Die-hard revheads may wish to up the ante with the hour-long All Ac-
cess Tour (adult/child $23/17; hourly 10am-3pm) or three-hour VIP Tour (adult/child $50;
Tue, Thu, Sat 1pm) ; the latter covers everything NASCAR from the comfort of an air-con-
ditioned coach. Real fanatics can indulge in the Richard Petty Driving Experience , where
you can either ride shotgun around the track or take a day to become the driver.
Daytona Beach BEACH
