Sea-Turtle Nesting Tours ECO TOUR
( 386-428-3384; adult/child 8-16yr $14/free; 8pm-midnight Jun & Jul)
In the summer, rangers lead groups of up to 30 people on these nightly tours, with about a
75% chance of spotting the little guys. Reservations are required (beginning May 15 for
June trips, June 15 for July trips); children under eight are not allowed.
Pontoon Boat Tours BOAT TOUR
( 386-428-3384; per person $20)
Two-hour ranger-led tours leave from the Visitor Information Center on Friday, Saturday
and Sunday.
Sleeping
Required permits are available up to seven days in advance. Be sure to bring plenty of wa-
ter. The park has canoes ($25 per day) available for rent to campers only from the Visitor
Information Center.
Beach Camping CAMPGROUND
(sites $10, per 7 people or more $20)
Two basic sites on Apollo Beach are available from November to late April.
Island Camping CAMPGROUND
(sites $10, per 7 people or more $20)
Fourteen primitive campsites scattered throughout the islands in Mosquito Lagoon are
available year-round.
Information
Canaveral National Seashore Visitor Information Center is located just south of the North
District entrance gate. Alternatively, the visitors center at Merritt Island National Wildlife
Refuge can also provide information.
There is a fee station at both the North and South District entrances. There is a toilet at
most beach parking areas.
