DELANCY STREET PREVIEW CENTER
Some Universal Orlando visitors could be pulled from the crowds and asked to go the
Delancy Street Preview Center (in the New York section of Universal Studios) to watch
clips from a TV pilot or movie and to give their opinions. It's a way of testing potential new
shows, and the best part is participants are compensated for their time. As in money.
They're looking for a particular demographic based on the material, and it's not always
open, but if you stop by and ask you just may be what they want.

Universal Orlando Resort boasts three excellent deluxe resort hotels. Staying at the resort
eliminates all kinds of logistical hassles: it's a pleasant gardened walk or a quiet boat ride
to the parks; all guests receive Unlimited Express Pass access to park attractions and prior-
ity dining; the Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens one hour early for all guests; and
the Loews Loves Pets program welcomes Fido as a VIP. Generally less expensive than
Walt Disney World's deluxe accommodations, they offer far superior service, food, decor,
amenities and rooms. Ask about kids' suites, including the Jurassic Park -themed suites at
Royal Pacific and Seuss- and Minion-inspired suites at Portofino Bay. In 2014 Universal
opened Cabana Bay, a value resort with family suites - guests here enjoy early admission
to Harry Potter fun, but do not receive Universal Express Passes.

Evoking the spirit of road trips c 1957, Universal's newest resort opened in March 2014
and has a beautifully themed hip retro-Florida vintage vibe. It offers moderate and value-
priced accommodations. Family suites have kitchenettes and sleep six; and there are two
pools, a bowling alley, a food court and a lazy river.
While guests can enjoy early admission to Wizarding World of Harry Potter (a huge
plus), they do not benefit from perks afforded to guests at the other three Universal Re-
sorts, including Unlimited Express Pass, priority dining status and boat transportation to
the parks. You must either walk the 20 minutes or take a Universal bus to the theme parks.
