RIDE, SHOW
quired; from 9am; Lynx 21, 37 or 40)
With glorious 3-D film footage, live action stunts and 4-D special effects,
Terminator 2:
3-D
(Express Pass) is complete sensory overload - delicious fun for some, overwhelming
and scary for others. Fans of the famous redhead Lucille Ball will particularly enjoy
Lucy
- A Tribute
, a biographical exhibit with
I Love Lucy
clips, costumes, photos and Lucy's
letters.
If you're really into horror makeup,
Universal Horror Make-Up Show
(Express Pass)
may be a little too short and thin on substance. It's humorous, full of silly antics, but optic-
al illusions could freak out kids if they're not really clear from the get-go that it's not real.
CityWalk
Across the canal from the two theme parks is Universal's entertainment district, a semi-
circle pedestrian mall with restaurants, clubs, bars, a multiplex movie theater, miniature
golf, shops and a fountain for kids to play in. Live music and mucho alcohol sums up the
entertainment options here. Although nights can be packed with partying 20-somethings,
bachelorette parties and general drunken mayhem, there's a distinct family-friendly vibe,
and several bars have pretty good food.
