must harness human laughter rather than screams, and they use audience members to do it.
It's pretty funny, and every show is different. Kids can put the pedal to the metal on grand-
prix-style cars at Indy Speedway, but the cars are fixed to the track and you don't control
the steering. Note that kids must be 52in tall to 'drive' on their own, which pretty much
eliminates this ride's target audience.

Haunted Mansion

piece of low-on-thrill and high-on-silly fun, and the only real ride in Liberty Sq. Cruise
slowly past the haunted dining room, where apparitions dance across the stony floor, but
beware of those hitchhiking ghosts - don't be surprised if they jump into your car unin-
vited.
While mostly it's lighthearted ghosty goofiness, kids may be frightened by spooky
preride dramatics. All sorts of presidential memorabilia decorate the waiting area of the
Hall of Presidents
, where people are herded into a theater to watch a superpatriotic flick
on US history, ending with every US president standing before you on stage.

For a bit of downtime, the covered waterside pavilion just off the bridge to the right of
Cinderella's Castle makes a perfect place to pull out those goldfish snacks and take a quiet
rest. Pictured but not labeled on the Magic Kingdom map. Look for this quiet treasure on
your way into Tomorrowland.
