Though this elegant classic doesn't offer the benefits of on-site Disney hotels, it's located
within the gates of Walt Disney World and, unlike Disney luxury, the quality of its rooms,
amenities and service is impeccable. There's an excellent buffet breakfast, two grandly
styled pools bordering the golf course, a Guerlain spa and divine beds.

, which has a lazy river and pool slide, shares amenities with the Waldorf,
and rooms and packages there cost a bit less.
Bus shuttle to Disney is complimentary but unreliable - it may make several stops on
the way to or from your destination, stretching what should be a 15-minute ride closer to
an hour, and so rendering null the benefit of close proximity to Disney.

Considering the proximity to Disney (just outside the gates), and the quality of the rooms,
service, grounds and amenities, this atrium-style resort is one of the best-value top-end op-
tions in Orlando. There are multiple pools, a waterfall set into a grotto, a splash play area
and a winding slide, as well as a beachside lake with hammocks, sailboats and bicycles.
Shuttles go to Disney's Transportation & Ticket Center (from there you must connect
with Disney transportation), to SeaWorld and to Universal Orlando Resort (an easy 10
minutes to the north; if driving, take Palm Pkwy and Turkey Lake Rd).
