Palm Lakefront Hostel
HOSTEL
mee; dm/d/q $19/40/60; ; Lynx 56 & 55)
This two-story roadside-motel-styed hostel sits among the traffic and chain restaurants of
the Kissimmee strip. It doesn't look like much at first glance, but in the back, there's a
grassy lakeside picnic and BBQ area, a quiet fishing dock and a little pool. The public bus
just outside connects directly to Disney's Transportation & Ticket Center.
Embassy Suites Lake Buena Vista South
HOTEL
simmee; r $110-225; )
Comfortable and modern two-room suites, complimentary cooked-to-order breakfasts and
evening cocktails, as well as an on-site travel agent, Hertz car-rental desk, a market with
food basics and coin laundry. Built in 2013, this is an excellent choice in a city overflow-
ing with mediocre, aging and overrated chains.
Barefoot Suites
MOTEL
simmee; ste $83-200, resort fee per day $7; )
Bright and spacious one- and two-bedroom suites in a yellow six-story building. Low-key,
friendly, under-the-radar and close to Disney, with kitchens and washer/dryers.
Melia Orlando Suite Hotel at Celebration
HOTEL
ration; ste $130-280, resort fee per day $17; )
Stylishly contemporary, with a circular pool surrounding an island of palm trees. Earth-
toned one- and two-bedroom suites have fully equipped kitchens, but the rooms feel tired
and uninspired. Family suites sleep up to eight, and there is a distinct 'family-friendly' vibe
to the pool area.
