I-Drive is Orlando's tourist hub, packed with chain restaurants, bars, shops, hotels, motels
and a handful of minor Orlando attractions. It parallels I-4 to its east, stretching 17 miles
from Orlando Premium Outlets south to World Dr, just east of Walt Disney World. The
couple miles between the convention center and Sand Lake Rd is a divided road, with
palm trees, museums and a relatively pleasant walking district. From Sand Lake Rd north
to the dead end at the outlet mall, it is Orlando tourism at full throttle, with $5.99 Disney
T-shirts, an ice-cream stand shaped like a soft-serve cone and a miniature golf course ad-
vertising the opportunity to 'feed our live alligators.'

On top of the leaping dolphins, silly sea lions and splashing whales of SeaWorld's famous
marine-animal shows, this park offers massive aquariums, opportunities to feed stingrays
and dolphins, and two of the biggest thrill rides in town. While sea-animal encounters and
shows remain as popular as ever, they have received criticism by animal welfare groups
who claim the captivity of marine life is debilitating and stressful for the animals, and that
this is exacerbated by human interaction.
