Book well ahead if you want to snag a seat at one of the 10 tables in chef Matthew Byrne's
contemporary American brasserie. The concept is simple: take the freshest ingredients,
present them in the simplest, most flavorful manner possible, and voilĂ  ! You get highlights
such as organic chicken schnitzel dressed in Panko breadcrumbs and topped with charred
lemon and a sunny fried egg. Aliza, Bryne's wife, hosts and there's a chef's table that seats
up to ten.
Drinking & Entertainment
Clematis and CityPlace have a revolving door of ultrachic bar-lounges and late-night
dance clubs; they're also home to a couple of great, casual, stalwart hangouts.
On Fridays and Saturdays, CityPlace hosts free outdoor concerts ( GOOGLE MAP ;
www.cityplace.com ) from 6pm to 10pm. Bands stick to familiar rock, R&B and occasional
country sounds.

With a team of knowledgeable sommeliers behind it, the Blind Monk is arguably the best
wine bar in West Palm. It offers an extensive list of wines by the glass, including interna-
tional labels and local craft beers. Small plates of cheese, salami, grapes, pickles and nuts
soak up the vino, while silent old movies play on the wall.
