Shopping
The quarter-mile palm-tree-lined Worth Ave is Florida's answer to Rodeo Dr. It's lined
with global marques such as Cartier, Armani, Gucci, Chanel, Dior, Tiffany and Hermes,
and the gilding drips down onto the sidewalk scene. Among these giants, tucked down side
alleys, you'll find smaller independent purveyors and galleries. Half the shops close for
summer, but it's fun to stroll and window-shop (and celeb-spot), whether you want to lay
down your plastic or not. Royal Poinciana Way is another shopping hot spot, with a
slightly more accessible price range.

Lilly Pulitzer, the Palm Beach princess of prints who created a fashion uniform for
wealthy socialites, passed away in February 2013, aged 81. Pay homage to this enduring
Palm Beach style icon by purchasing one of her lurid print dresses from C. Orrico, and
pair it with similarly psychedelic sandals and jewelry.
