Fort Lauderdale's food scene is heavily influenced by the area's large Italian American
population. Las Olas Blvd has the bulk of the nicer eating places, especially the stretch
between 5th and 16th Aves.

7am-6pm Tue-
Sun)
This delightfully old-school Milanese-style bakery and cafe is the best lunch spot in down-

In this off-the-beaten-path peach cottage, the 'two ugly sisters' serve whatever strikes their

the vegetables are grown from the cottage's garden, and there's always a vegetarian option
on the menu. It's located a mile south of E Las Olas Blvd, just off S Andrews Ave.

Hailed endearingly as a greasy spoon, campy Lester's Diner has been keeping folks happy
since the late 1960s. Everyone makes their way here at some point, from business types on
cell phones to clubbers and blue-haired ladies with third husbands. Lester's is between
downtown Fort Lauderdale and the airport.
