An excellent alternative to tour-boat cruises is to rent your own kayak in Richardson Park
and paddle the 7.5 mile (roughly 2.5 to three hours) Middle River loop around the Island
City yourself. Day, sunset and moonlight tours, including basic instruction and gourmet
sandwiches and soft drinks, are also available on a scheduled calendar. All you need to do
is turn up.
Paddleboard instruction and rental is also available.
