Apalachicola Oysters

Apalachicola ( Click here ) is more than a pretty seaside town, although it is, in-
deed, a very pretty seaside - well, Gulfside - town. It's an experience and intro-
duction to the laid-back folkways and crusty exterior of 'Cracker' Florida. No car-
toon mice or Latin superstars can be seen; the only thing that blazes across this
town are rich orange sunsets and glistening plates of oysters. Oh, those plump,
sweet, delicious oysters; Apalachicola supplies 90% of Florida's oysters, and is
one of the last places in the US where 'tongers' still harvest them wild.
