Housed in the New World Center - a funky explosion of cubist lines and geometric curves,

formances from October to May. The deservedly heralded NWS serves as a three- to four-
year preparatory program for talented musicians from prestigious music schools.
Chopin Foundation of the United States CLASSICAL MUSIC

This national organization hosts a treasure trove of performances for Chopin fans - the
Chopin Festival, a series of free monthly concerts and the less-frequent National Chopin
Piano Competition, an international contest held in Miami every five years.
Florida Grand Opera OPERA

Founded in the 1940s, this highly respected opera company, which stages many shows in-
cluding Madame Butterfly, La Boheme and Tosca , performs throughout the year at the
