This place is stylin' - and why shouldn't it be, when Todd Oldham designed the boldly
beautiful rooms? The themed palette of 'sand, sea and sky' adds a dash of eye candy to the
furnishings, as do the mosaic doorknobs and brushed-steel sinks. The Hotel boasts a fine
rooftop pool, overshadowed only by a lovely deco spire (which says 'Tiffany,' because
that was the name of this place before the blue-box jewelry chain threatened a lawsuit).

Hip-hop gets funky with zebra-stripe curtains and cushions in the small lobby, which hosts
a chill happy hour when the sun goes down at the in-house Safari Bar. Rooms mix up dark
wood furniture with bright-white beds and vaguely tropical colors swathed throughout.
Make sure to enoy the view from the roof deck.

How to explain the Dream? From the outside it looks like an ice-cube box of clean white
lines, but come inside and it feels like a cross between the interior of an Indian palace, an
electric blue tube of toothpaste and a set piece from
Tron
. The rooftop bar is a perfect
place to kick back and pretend you're some kind of film-industry mogul, before returning
to your room and pretending to be a futuristic magnate. Very popular with LGBT clientele.
