Getting There & Around
Tallahassee is 98 miles from Panama City Beach, 135 miles from Jacksonville, 192 miles
from Pensacola, 120 miles from Gainesville and 470 miles from Miami. The main access
road is I-10; to reach the Gulf Coast, follow Hwy 319 south to Hwy 98.
The tiny Tallahassee Regional Airport ( GOOGLE MAP ; 850-891-7802;
www.talgov.com/airport ; 3300 Capital Circle SW) is served by American and Delta for US do-
mestic and international connections, and Silver Airways for direct flights to Tampa and
Orlando.It's about 5 miles southwest of downtown, off Hwy 263. There's no public trans-
portation. Some hotels have shuttles, but otherwise a taxi to downtown costs upwards of
$25: try Yellow Cab ( 850-580-8080) .
The Greyhound bus station ( GOOGLE MAP ; 850-222-4249; www.greyhound.com ; 112
W Tennessee St) is at the corner of Duval, opposite the downtown StarMetro transfer center.

daily unlimited $3) is the local bus service around the greater Tallahassee area and has a
main transfer point downtown on Tennessee St at Adams St. Fares are $1.25.
