Getting There & Around
The Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (PFN; 850-763-6751;
www.iflybeaches.com ; 6300 West Bay Pkwy, Panama City) is served by Delta and Southwest,
with daily nonstop flights to Atlanta, Baltimore, Houston, Nashville and St Louis.
For bus services connecting throughout the continental USA, head to the Greyhound (
850-785-6111; www.greyhound.com ; 917 Harrison Ave, Panama City) bus station, although it's
not the most inviting of places for visitors to arrive or depart!
By car, Panama City Beach is almost halfway between Tallahassee (about 130 miles)
and Pensacola (95 miles). Coming along the coast, Hwy 98 takes you into town; from I-10
take either Hwy 231 or Hwy 79 south.
The Bay Town Trolley ( 850-769-0557; www.baytowntrolley.org ; tickets $1.50) runs in
Panama City Beach. The service continues to add stops to its coverage, but its schedule is
still limited to Monday to Friday between 6am and 8pm.
Classic Rentals ( 850-235-1519; www.classicrentalsinc.com ; 13226 Front Beach Rd, Panama
City Beach; 8am-5pm) rents scooters (half/full day $20/35) and old-school Harleys (half/
full day $75/125).
