Wisteria Inn MOTEL
( 850-234-0557; www.wisteria-inn.com ; 20404 Front Beach Rd, Panama City Beach; d from $99;
)
This sweet little 15-room motel has a variety of tastefully themed rooms from South Beach
to the Far East, as well as poolside mimosa hours and an 'adults only' policy that discour-
ages spring-breakers. It's also very pet-friendly: keep that in mind if you're allergic to four-
legged friends.
Eating & Drinking
People don't flock to Panama City Beach for the cuisine, although restaurants and eateries
aren't in short supply. Waiting for a table at one of the beachside's many massive restaur-
ants is an endurance sport. Downtown Panama City, to the east, has more low-key offer-
ings and less waiting, but you'll have to drive.
Andy's Flour Power Bakery BAKERY
( 850-230-0014; www.andysflourpower.com ; 3123 Thomas Dr, Panama City; items from $3;
7am-2pm)
Come for hands-down the best breakfasts in town: fluffy rolled omelets cooked to perfec-
tion, cheesy grits, breakfast frittata, Belgian waffles and, of course, bacon and eggs, any
way you like 'em. Locals are known to start the day with breakfast here and come back for
lunch: tasty New York deli-style sandwiches galore on freshly baked breads. Highly re-
commended.
