for engineering education in developing countries.
It weighs the potential challenges and benefits of
implementing e-Learning for engineers in devel-
oping countries. It provides a broad perspective
or e-Learning design in engineering education.
The main themes of technology in engineer-
ing education for developing countries focused
either on aspects of technological support for
traditional methods and localized processes, or
on the investigation of how such technologies
may assist e-Learning design. Commonly such
efforts are threefold, relating to content delivery,
assessment and provision of feedback. This chapter
also focused and reviewed key issues regarding
the implementation of e-Learning for engineering
students in developing countries that could be
tailored to satisfy the needs of a limited educa-
tional infrastructure. Moreover, for e-Learning
design to succeed in the developing world, it
needs to build one important pillar: the existence
of infrastructure, along with some degree of con-
nectivity. Nevertheless a key challenge could be
technological requirements which must be kept to
a minimum in order to increase the participation
of developing countries in e-Learning design for
engineering students.
