Share resources: The learners can share
their resources using this activity.
Sequence: In this activity, students should
arrange a series of options by dragging
them in a certain order.
Task list: This activity allows learners to
inform the monitors and the authors the
completed tasks. It may be an individual's
activity to manage the activities too.
Submit files: The learner's work or an-
swers to exercises can be received by the
system in different ways. One of these
ways is submitting files. Learners can cre-
ate files from their work and submit them
in the specified area for assessment.
Meeting with the instructor: This activ-
ity enables the learners to participate in
meeting sessions with their instructor(s)
and resolve their possible problems.
Research activity report: The learners
should inform the instructors the research
activities/results of their current tasks.
Evaluative activities include those that are
used in the evaluation process. Some of the most
important activities in this category include:
Screen capture: For some disciplines such
as computer science, the result of students'
activities should be evaluated carefully.
The details should be considered by both
the students and the professors. As a result,
capturing a video from the steps of the stu-
dents' activities could be an effective and
powerful evaluation tool.
Multiple choices: This activity is a quiz
consisting of several questions each of
which containing several items to choose
from. The learners should select the correct
answer of each question in the specified
time. The multiple choices are designed
for each part of the course according to the
needs of that part.
Collaborative activities enable collaboration
between learners. Some of the most important
activities in this category include:
True/False questions: True/False ques-
tions are used to assess conceptual knowl-
edge of students in a quick way. The stu-
dents' answers to these questions can show
if they have understood the essence of the
learning material.
Chat: It is a popular activity for the learn-
ers. They can chat together, to the monitor/
instructor based on their needs.
Scribe: It is the reports that the learners
write.
Drag and drop: Drag and drop activities
are those in which students require to place
text or images by dragging in the correct
positions on the page.
Forum: It is an asynchronous discussion
environment for the learners. The discus-
sion threads usually are created by the
authors.
Hotspot: This is an activity in which stu-
dents should select the correct area within
an image.
Group communications: the learners can
join together as a group and communicate
with each other. For example, file and re-
source sharing between them can be done.
Drop down list: It is a selection list in
which a set of answers is revealed so that
students can select the answer to a question
from the list.
Group survey: The learners can complete a
survey about a specified topic together. This
makes both learning course materials and
problem solving easier. This activity can
also be considered as a reflective activity.
Freeform text entry: In this activity, stu-
dents should answer a question by writing
a text.
