Famous Scientists
Students can also see the contribution of both
men and women in this area. Robert Boyle made
important contributions to experimental chemistry
and is known for his ideal GAS LAW. Cornelia
Clapp was a professor of zoology at Mt. Holyoke
College and was active in the marine biology
research at the then newly established Marine
Biology Lab at Woods Hole, Massachusetts.
