been returned to the soil since the transition from family farming to commercial
farming.
Thus, an increase in the SOC concentration over time is related not only to the
adoption of advanced agricultural techniques, but also to the transition of land use
objective and the economic development. However, depletion of groundwater and
low availability of water are major constraints to increasing in SOC concentration
and agricultural intensification in the NCP.
