Art Pl. Sant Josep Oriol, Barri Gòtic; Liceu. The square is filled with stalls and easels
every weekend from 11am, with local artists banging out still lifes, harbour views, etc.
Christmas Av. de la Catedral and surrounding streets, Barri Gòtic; Jaume I. Traditional
decorations, gifts, Christmas trees and more at the annual Fira de Santa Llúcia ( firadesan-
tallucia.cat ) . Daily Dec 1-22 10.30am-8.30pm.
Coins, books and postcards Mercat Sant Antoni, Ronda de Sant Antoni, El Raval; Sant
Antoni. The rare coin and secondhand/antiquarian book stalls around Sant Antoni market are
also good for posters, trading cards and comic collectables. Sun 8.30am-2pm.

other produce. Also takes place during the Festa de la Mercè (Sept), and the Festa de Sant
Ponç in c/de l'Hospital (May 11). First and third Fri-Sun of the month.
Fleamarket ElsEncants,Av.Meridiana69,Glòries; Glòries/Encants. Themostentertain-
ing place to trawl through old clothes, jewellery, antiques, junk and furniture is the city's
oldest flea market (see Treasure-hunting at Els Encants Vells ) , which is now in its shiny (lit-
erally) new home on the southwest side of Pl. de les Glòries Catalanes. Every Mon, Wed, Fri
& Sat 9am-8pm, plus Dec 1 to Jan 5 Sun 9am-3pm.
Flowers Ramblas, between Pl. de Catalunya and Mercat de la Boqueria; Liceu; Mercat de
la Concepció, c/de Valencia, Dreta de l'Eixample, Passeig de Gràcia. The Ramblas flower
stalls always put on a pretty show, but locals are more likely to do serious flower and plant
shopping at the Mercat de la Concepció.
