Barcelona went boutique, this is the kind of traditional four-star hotel where big-spenders
splashed their cash - an old-money establishment, with faithful-retainer staff, huge public
salons and rooms at the front that throw open their windows onto balconies overlooking La
Seu (cathedral view from €20 extra). It's still a pretty privileged location, a nd w hile some
rooms are too frilly and floral by half, others are more contemporary in style. €165
