In-Depth Information
Breakfast
While many hotels put on a lavish buffet spread, breakfast can be expensive
(around €10-15 per person), so if all you want is coffee and a croissant it's better to go out to
a café.

Creditcards
Although you may be asked for a credit card number to secure a room, at most
hotels your card won't be charged until your stay. However, some smaller
pensións
may take
a deposit or charge you in advance. Credit cards are accepted almost everywhere (though
American Express isn't always).
INTERNET AND WI-FI
Pretty much every
pensión
and hotel is now wired for access, but while you get cheap or free
internet and wi-fi in budget hotels and hostels, some swankier hotels tend to charge like a
wounded bull - sometimes as much as €20 for 24 hours' worth of internet access. Always
check the small print before you sign up.
