One of the oldest markets in the city (originally built in 1892), the Mercat del Ninot takes
up a large area between carrers Villaroel and Casanova. It's currently undergoing a major re-
furbishment, but in the meantime there's a large temporary market building on c/Casanova,
in front of the massive Hospital Clinic .

Built as a private house in 1911 by Josep Puig i Cadafalch, the quirky Museu i Centre
d'Estudis de l'Esport contains probably the most unassuming sporting “Hall of Fame”
found anywhere in the world. In a couple of quiet, wood-panelled rooms photographs of
1920s Catalan rally drivers and footballers are displayed alongside a motley collection of
memorabilia.
