The purpose-built museum contains a huge collection of paintings, graphics, tapestries and
sculptures covering the period from 1914 to 1978, largely donated by Miró himself. Aside
from the permanent displays, the Fundació sponsors excellent temporary exhibitions, film
shows,lecturesandchildren'stheatre,whilesummermusicnights(usuallyJuneandJuly)are
