Astute readers may notice that there is no chapter for the Delta Proteobacteria.
This is because the Delta Proteobacteria contain no organisms that are patho-
genic in humans. Circumstances may change; Class Delta Proteobacteria,
Genus Desulfovibrio has been associated with an opportunistic human infec-
tion [41]. Until more definitive studies come to light, we can skip directly to
Class Epsilon Proteobacteria.
