4. Once you have entered all of the pertinent information for your database,
clickonthe
Test Connect
buttontoverifythattheconnectionissuccessful.
Iftheconnectionisnotsuccessful,doublecheckfortyposanderrors.Addi-
tionally,makesureyouareattemptingtoconnecttoaPostGIS-enableddata-
base.
5. Iftheconnectionissuccessful,goaheadandcheckthe
Save Username
and
Save Password
checkboxes. This will prevent us from having to enter our
login information multiple times throughout the exercise.
6. Clickon
OK
atthebottomofthemenutoapplytheconnectionsettings.Now,
you can connect!
MakesurethenameofyourPostGISconnectionappearsinthedrop-down
menu,andthenclickonthe
Connect
button.Ifyouchoosenottostoreyour
usernameandpassword,youwillbeaskedtosubmitthisinformationevery
time you try to access the database.
Once connected, all schemas within the database will be shown and the
tables will be made visible by expanding the target schema.
