1 Garenin (Gearrannan), Lewis An
abandoned crofting village whose thatched
blackhouses have been beautifully restored:
some are now self-catering cottages, one
is a café, and a couple have been left as
they were when they were last inhabited.

serene lochside setting on the west coast of the

3 Beaches The western seaboard of the Outer

golden-sand beaches backed by flower-strewn
