6.5.4.2 Mould Release Agents
A lubrication application where the use of UCOs would be preferred is precast
concrete production. This term refers to the concrete unit, structure or member
that is cast and cured at the factory and subsequently transported to the
building site where it will be used. This process requires releasing agents that
prevent the concrete bonding to the mould after curing.
